460 industrial propane engin

Post  STR-LGL-70 on June 21st 2016, 5:28 pm

Anything special about a 460 propane engine? Haven't seen it yet, may be a 429 but told it's a 460.
Thanks, Sheldon

Thanks Dfree,
Too bad Ford didn't do a steel crank in the 460 industrial engines (this ones from a generator) like some of the 429's had; it does have the big rear sump pan though.

They really don't need a forged crank

Yep, the person that is selling it told me it is clean; supposed to have 800 hrs at 1800 rpm.

They usually have 7/16" stem, sodium filled exhaust valves and the heads are tapped with larger accessory bolt holes.
