I've been thinking about the interior in my 94 F150. At first I wanted to keep everything factory looking but once I get into the details it would cost more to make the factory parts work with the new parts. The interior looks good for the mileage but I am thinking I'd rather go race car look and lose weight than factory with none working parts.

Do you agree it would be cheaper to dress it out "race style" or Factory parts?
Whats your opinion?

How it sits right now. I know I am going to replace the bench with light weight bucket's, roll cage and replace the steering column with a race style unit.

id put the lightning style buckets in it. but leave the interior as is. its in to good of shape to be messing with it. if it was all cracked up and stuff didn't work... have at it. the old body interior parts in good shape are hard to find.

That's the only reason I haven't done anything in the interior. All of the parts look real good except one piece. The driver side door panel looks like someone pulled the panel off with out taking all the screws out. So it's all busted and rattles going down the road. (Power window motor has gone out) I'm having a hard time finding a matching factory panel.

The current plan is to use suspension seats just incase I decide to jump the truck! LoL

I thought about putting the bench seat in the 1984. All though the 84 is all vinyl and rubber because it's the do everything truck. I'd rip it or stain it the first week!

The man that owned the truck cruised timber. I would guess we took at least 4 floor mats out and 3 bench seat covers and dash pad. Look at that steering wheel he went all the way down to the bone! LoL

I mainly bought the truck because it has a almost perfect body with no rust. I catch my self wanting to keep it like stock but if I was going to do that I'd might as well put the 351 back in.

You could do a combination of both... to save weight and eliminate non working/required parts you could replace the upgraded p/w speaker door panels and change it to standard roll up windows and loose the speakers they should be easier to find and you will lose some weight in the process, and they still open if you should ever lid it and loose power Shocked . As for the dash you can keep it and make your own gauge cluster insert to fit the space, or depending on the "roll cage" if you are using a dash bar you may want to eliminate the dash pad too and make your own. The lower dash is optional and will help to keep a little more of the stock/custom appearance, removing the excess wiring, cpu, and heater box/core can save some weight too.
