I feel like a newbe for asking this but an average of opinions is bettter than my own.

528cu 4.3stroke 6.8rod 4.430bore
10.8:1
Ported D3ve, some of the best numbers Charlie had seen out of a set of non CJ heads
Edelbrock RPM or Edelbrock Victor 4500 intake
1-7/8 headers, 3" x pipe and dynomax bullets
Hyd flat camshaft w/ beehive springs (Just image the perfect flat made for all power with nothing else in mind)

Then add 100-200 of nitrous on top.

I know I am leaving some exact details out, but I am trying to get a better idea of trq and hp this engine might produce so when I talk to the converter guys I have something to tell them.

Those 1 7/8 headers might be a restriction above 4,000 . 2 " primaries on your stroker would probably flow better.

You didn't say how high you want to rev it. I assume this is going into you Lightning clone?
With a hyd. flat tappet and 250 to 260 duration @ .050, I would guesstimate 520-540 hp and around 585 lb ft of torque. (without spray)

The camshaft is around that Duration @ .050, lift .618/.598 on 106

Ya, I might try to find some Mustang 2" headers because I'm not 100% sure these Mustang 1-7/8 modified turbo headers will fit. I figure 6,000-6,500 rpm.

I talked with Patrick at Prosystems and he suggested one of them new fancy single barrel carbs that flow a true 1080-1100cfm

Why not have a dyno party? Exact numbers are only a weekend away....

Jones,

Please change your focus. You don't need to worry about how much power it is going to make. Just build it and see how much it does make. IMO the convertor guy doesn't need to know NOW. Build it, stick any old convertor behind it and see how it runs. Then after you find out some real world answers, then call the convertor guy and tell him what you have learned. They can build you a custom convertor and ship it out in a week. If one particular company can't do that for you, then switch companies. I assure you that they are all clamoring to make a sale.

Good point Charlie, that is the best way to look at it. I guess I need to make sure the converter guy wil work with me and not charge me until we get it right.

PS. Good to hear from you. Heck Lem gave me a call today and was the highlite of my day! LOL

Na, throw the dyno idea out the window, not enough cash for Christmas to spend on a dyno. Besides that money could go toward something else. All though I think it would be awsome to have the engine broke in, and compare the differance between a Performer RPM and a Victor 4500 intake. Then 1-7/8", 2" and 2-1/8" exhaust on this type of engine.

Jones the dyno is a big learning session and it is worth every minute of it....

While you are sitting there watching your Baby on the dyno having the Hell pulled out of it make goose bumps all over, chills run up and down your spine... knowing it was your creation.....

Oh trust me! I would love to have my engine on the dyno but here is aparts list I have left for the truck to get moving under it's on power.

Acc brackets (working on a deal)
powersteering pump (Autozone part)
alt (Autozone part)
dampener (Autozone, summit, Lem)
oil filter relocation kit (Summit)
fuel lines and fittings (Summit, XRP)
driveshaft (?)
Transmission (?)
converter (Lenny or PTC)
shifter (suppose to have bought one)

The driveshaft, transmission and converter are items that I hope to be able to afford this spring.

I wouldnt think 525-550 to be out of line on motor w/ 750-800 w/ a good tuneup in the plate.

The knowlage you gain from dyno time is worth a whole lot more than the $$$ it costs, you can do tuning stuff in hour that will take you weeks at the track...........

$600ish is a good ball park, sometimes more sometimes less, depends on when and where.
