Thinking of going to a 16 volt battery for the car. Which brand do you run, how is the performance, and what is the price range with the charger?

Rock! Was around $600 a few years ago and haven't had any problems. Looks like they've went up some ...charger has no ends so plan for that but it's MADE IN USA! Shocked  : http://rockracingbattery.com/pages.php?pageid=12

Mine are XS. I have 2. I have one of those small 15 amp smart chargers that floats on and off when charged. I have no complaints.

Rock for me. The charger has 12V & 16V charging so I can charge my other batteries if needed

Rock with their charger.  42lbs. $680

Or we sell Go Lithium for $800 shipped for battery and charger.  8lbs


These are the only two I will put on customer cars.

When I race heads up I have no issues. Every once in a while I will do brackets and I have to cool the car 15 mins between rounds running Q16.

How often if you run a water pump and fan do you have to charge a Rock 16V?

I switched to 16 V last year. XS. Also sent my little 55 amp mini alternator back to Powermaster and the converted it to 16V. With normal usage there is no need to hook up the charger.

I run a optima redtop now

I left my charger at home one weekend by accident. Run a 3 qualifier and 5 rounds to win race. Electric fuel pump, nitrous motor, one system, water pump and fan. barely started for the final but it did. LOL

We run one 8lbs lithium battery in almost every car. Total loss systems.
