Santa Claus Shootout
BattleField Raceway, Newton MS
On December 19'th 2009

Collinsville, MS 39325
Gates open at 12:00 noon
Shootout Begins at 5:30
$10 dollar admission for spectator, $15 for car and driver
Trophies will be given to first place winners in each class
$100 dollars will be given to the fastest pass of the day, either in the shootout or prior
Rules
There will be 3 classes- Street, Modified, and Open. There will be NO cruise as a requirement, its simply too hard to pull off fairly
Street class:
Full stock interior (no seat deletes)
stock engine/ cams (stock internals, not just stock displacement)
Stock intake, cold air kits will be allowed, aftermarket throttle body allowed, as long as its on a stock intake
FULL exhaust, including tailpipes
17,18, or 20 inch drag radials allowed, 15 or 16 in street tires allowed
NO bias ply tires allowed
1 power adder allowed(god help me on this one)
if you have a cobra, a pulley change will be allowed, but no ported blowers, kenne bells, or whipple's will be allowed- must be stock eaton
NO upgraded power adders on vehicles originally equipped with forced induction. Turning up the boost on the STOCK power adder is allowed
Any naturally aspirated car with aftermarket cams ONLY may use the cam as its one power adder
must have stock heads
methanol injection counts as a power adder, so if its a boosted car with meth you cant run it in this class
single turbos only
For cars that came with a carb: a carb/intake swap is allowed, provided the car has stock iron heads still on it. . . no dart, brodix, AFR, ect,ect heads allowed
front wheel drive cars will be allowed to run any size drag radial
Modified street:
Any size drag radial
28x10.5 or smaller slick/ bias ply
stock type rear suspension, coilovers will be allowed, ladderbars/backhalf rear suspension cars will not. . . minitubs will also be allowed
unlimited engine/ poweradders allowed
working headlights, taillights, blinkers
stock appearing interior, seat deletes are allowed, sheetmetal dashes are not
race style buckets seats are allowed
must have mufflers, collector mufflers will be allowed
roll cages are allowed, but must be added to a stock unibody/frame, no full tube chassis. . . again, no backhalf cars
Open Class:
Run what you brung, and hope you brung enough
This race will be held at Battlefield raceway, Collinsville MS on Dec 19 gates open at 12 noon

Tech will be in the staging lanes prior to the first round of each class, either me or Alan (1fastS197) will have final say on what class your car fits in, this will not be up for discussion
I know that not everyone will be happy with these rules, and im sorry. if we were to break it down to where it is truly fair, there would be fifty different classes. But seriously, its for trophies and bragging rights, just show up and have a good time, no need to get all bent out of shape just over a ten dollar trophy.Thanks and hope to see all of you there!

I know that not everyone will be happy with these rules, and im sorry. if we were to break it down to where it is truly fair, there would be fifty different classes.
