Never have done this and was thinking about pan choices. Going to a foxbody and have a few oiling concerns and im probably over thinking. Using a 466 that turns 6800 at the shift points and runs on the street and strip. I run a 3 quart accumulator with a 35 psi valve and a canton screen type windage tray that bolts to the main studs and has been modified to be as close to the crank as i can get. The question is can i run a ford 460 foxbody swap pan i think they hold 5 quarts is there any drawback or concerns using one instead of a canton foxbody pan because im not really gaining anything except the extra 2 quarts of oil and maybe baffles in the pan correct???  The only issue i think i might have is the studs for the tray touching and might need to be shortened a little. Looking for some of that been there done that knowledge. Just thinking that money if not needed there could go for better made set of headers. And header thoughts are because its a tbird and not a mustang with a aje tubular k frame going with custom  made short tube headers so there will be no having to have the front end in the air for header to ground clearance. On that note how many of you fox guys on the street run front coilovers and what spring rate with aluminium heads and c6 are there any drawbacks like killings the strut towers roads here are not to bad here no salt to create more potholes after winter so any thoughts?

Which one with windage tray in pan and remove mine or use the one without the built in tray? Forgot to mention running a kasse pump if matters.

Ok found the answers for everyone else i aready new better than to trust summit racing descriptions on oil capacity there wrong you have to go to manufacturer websites its on big and small fords no matter who makes them!!!! The pan 20620 is the 8 quart no windage tray with a baffle. I appreciate the info Boss!!!

Moroso pan is a good choice. The factory pan will allow the oil to uncover the pickup on deceleration and allow it to climb the back of the pan under acceleration. Saw oil pressure fluctuations with a friend's car because of that. Moroso pan cured it.

We build custom pans with any dimensions that you want.  Billet rails with a very good baffling system with excellent oil control.  I'll run out to the shop in the morning to shoot a couple pictures of the bbc pans we just did for some fox bodies.  

They are not in the price range of that Moroso pan though.  We do charge $650-$900 shipped for ours for most pans. Pro-stock and Pro-Mod style dry sump pans or split pans are $1100-$1250 shipped.

Didn't make it to the shop this morning. We were cleaning our closets for extra clothes; a church member lost their home to fire last night. I will swing by later this evening.
