Jetting question for a stock headed 302 Empty Jetting question for a stock headed 302

So I am helping a buddy with his mustang project and it came with a healthy sounding 302. The kid my buddy got it from said it was in the car when he got it, and all he know is that is does have an aftermarket cam in it, and that it has the forged lower end and roller rockers. It came with an Edelbrock 600cfm carb which we sold and now have a holley 650dp for it.
So for those you with more knowledge then I, (doesn't take much there lol) what would be a reasonable starting point for the jetting?

Find out what the stock jet sizes are for the 650 dbl pumper you have and start there . Then move up and see what the engine likes and what it doesn't like. Read your spark plugs and adjust timing and jetting accordingly. Good luck!

Depending on what exact model you have, it will come with either 67 ft. and 73 rr.
Or 71 ft. and 76 rr.

That is the plan, but I didn't want to start too lean. When I got the carb, it had 82 ft and 88 rear and that seemed too fat for this little engine. After we got the motor and trans swapped in to the chassis he is going to use, I rebuilt the carb and went with 64-68. it fired up and sounded good, but lean.
