Garage Bridge Crane Empty Garage Bridge Crane

Post  747JetMech December 11th 2016, 3:54 pm

Hello

I have been researching at installing a bridge crane in my garage. Need something around 16 foot wide by 22 feet length. I think 2 ton limit should work. I don't need anything electric, manual is ok for me.
Looks like the expensive part is the End Trucks..

Have any of you built one?  I read a article from The Garage Journal Board... Wow...

That is the one thing I have wanted in my shop ever since I finished it years ago. I found these guys a long time ago and figured one day I would get there truck and bridge beam kit, then construct the rest myself to keep the cost down. I like the top running model.

Lots of good info on that site. I was concerned about beam size with span and load.

At work we have some free standing bridge cranes made by Gorbel that are are build fairly nice, I think most of their stuff is custom order to your specs, I have no idea on the pricing.

Goodwin has that brand on their website and it's a very cool with the enclosed track and trussed track design.
