Re: 1.250 CH Pistons best deal?
I recently talked to my Racetec rep about this very subject. The short 1.250" CH limits a round dish to about 30 to 32 ccs.
The autotec line of 4032 high silicon forged pistons is great for the under 700 hp builds and the light bob weight will balance internally with no mallory.
My 557 / 22 cc dish AFR relief was 2277 grams (scat 6.7" H beam) and a 521 std valve notch 28 cc dish was 2240 grams (scat 6.8" H beam). This line is very cost effective and quality and finish impressive.

When I did my new line of kits, I used Ross.
The pins are standard length if you want to upgrade to a tool steel, and the price on the 2618 piston is better than anything else I looked at....since pretty much no one actually stocks pretty much anything. So we drew up a line for standard and Kaase setups.
I like the Autotec in a street or street/strip application, and I wouldn't limit it to a specific H/P range. If you want to make more than 700 H/P just lie to the motor. Motors are stupid, they'll believe anything. Besides, if you tune them right, almost nothing else you do matters. It's like using ARP-2000 bolts in anything over 800 H/P...how does the rod bolt know how much power you're making?

(Just lie to the motor. Motors are stupid, they'll believe anything.)
This is Cool. But the chevy guys have turned this around.
They are letting there Motors lie to them on how much hp it has.
And they are STUPID enough to believe the motor.
For the chevy guys.
You want the Truth?... WELL YOU CAN'T HANDEL THE TRUTH...

Have'nt you seen the new rod bolts? They have microchips in them that send a signal to the ignition system when they get over 800 horsepower, and tell the ignition to start dropping cylinders to limit the power!! LOL

Considering the simple fact that my F-150 is smarter than I am, it would surprise me.
