First, I am by no means an expert on this and I am sure others like Lem, Phillip, Randy, etc. can answer this better than me. But just from my own observation with Ford's blueprint of the factory block, the inboard side of the lifter boss would be getting pretty thin bored to 1.125" and could be prone to failing with high lift cams and high spring pressures. Did Ford beef that area up with the A460 blocks, I don't know. Now, if it's an Eliminator Premier or Ultra block based on photos I have seen, it may be entirely feasible. Like I said, I'm not expert, maybe the Pros will chime in.

You're in the ballpark, it's closer to .200" in thickness. Blueprint shows a radius of .640" from the centerline of the lifter bore to the outside of the casting. of coarse each block is going to be a little different due to core shift during the manufacturing process.
