1" carb spacer Empty 1" carb spacer

I have some room now for a 1" carb spacer. I have a stock motorsport "victor" intake with ported A429's. The local speed shop has a 1" open all star piece in stock. Is there much to be gained with a Jomar power cone over an open spacer?

The only way you'll really know is to test and see. I've dyno'd all sorts of intake/spacer combinations and I've never found a consensus. Some that I expected to make a big difference didn't, and the opposite...I've seen 12hp from one on a motor that I didn't expect much. Just depends on the combination.

Lots of trial and error here but on the BBF strokers I've messed with they liked the Jomar piece better than nothing, better that open and better a four hole. The trial is maybe the power cone thing wants a 1" open under it. Keep in mind that the gain may be only 8 or 9 hp but that's a good deal for only using a 1/2" wrench. Smile

That's pretty much what I was thinking Lem, if the space is there I might as well put in a spacer to see what happens. I might even have room for 2. I'm crossing the stripe at 7000 or so if that makes any difference.
