intake, cam, carb change. your thoughts? Empty intake, cam, carb change. your thoughts?

thinking of changing the intake over the winter of the bracket car, was looking at the trickflow mifia 4500 jc intae that kaase has listed on his site.
what are your thoughts.
currant setup right now
4.440 bore
4.150 stroke.
6.800 rods,
cam lift .738/.738 dur 304in/312exh 268/276 @.050'' on a 108 center
round the 14:1 comp,
using the victor 460 out of the box and been running for a very long time.
and 1150 sitting up top.

after the swap of the heads this passed year and a few shake downs we made the car went 9.02 @ 151

over the winter along with the intake change i was also looking to change to a different cam.
its comp part number 34-740-9 and grind number 304BR-8. lift .806/.763 dur 313/319 275/284 @ .050'' on a 110 center line.

will it be worth making the changes? or will it be more of eye candy and looks? would it be worth making a change from the 1150 to a 1250?

You do need to change the cam. Which heads are these?

Either port the Victor or get a 'mafia'. If you get the tfs piece just run it out of the box, no need to spend $s per your application.

Your cam selection is headed in the right direction but, a custom deal may be worth the few extra dollars.

On a 513 NA engine, that intake will make more power above about 6,200 RPM and carry the power longer after peak power. It will show less power below that RPM figure.
It all will depend upon where you need it most.

Personally, I would spend a couple hundred dollars or more having your Victor ported.

Those heads usually need a bit more exhaust duration than what you have. I would try a 1.8/1 rocker arm on the exhaust side.

That'd depend on several factors. Give me a call if you want to purse a new cam.

In general, more duration and more so on he exh side.

If you have the Victor worked be sure to have the 'clover leaf' removed and the radii in the corners large enough for a 1250 or bigger carb.

That's what I did to mine. I didn't like that cloverleaf design.
