Best torque converter deal? for a 600 hp bbf

Post  racinghabbit on November 14th 2017, 6:04 pm

I am changing my motor in my mud truck and pulling out a 2500 hughs converter and I need one that will hold up to a 650 hp motor running low range in a mud truck so I will need like a 4500 stall...

Who has a decent converter at a decent price... I have used edge converters in 2 of my other trucks but there $700 and I'm not able to swing that right now...Thanks

I have a PTC 10" in my race truck. I had it changed by them several times to fit different engines. Works good. Was about 400 or so.

I used to use Hughes converters, probably 3 or 4 different ones over the years. Broke one of them but other than that always had good luck with them. For the money,I think they are better quality than B&M or TCI

But....... i would save up some extra and have a converter built. I had UCC build one and he was almost dead on with the stall i asked for.

Our trucks aren't a typical application. Heavy and lots of torque.

I had great luck with Edge Converter in the past. I have a UCC for my new build.
