The Rouge complex is within the cities River Rouge and Dearborn a few miles east of the museum in Dearborn. Today, the business end of the steel plant is run by vested employees who became "A K Steel" and took it over when Ford Motor Company was on the verge of selling it to another private entity.

The Henry Ford museum offers a "Virtual Tour" of the facility 75 years ago and now from one of the theaters within that museum. They also offer a "Real Life" tour taking a buss ride from the museum to the newer truck plant still in operation at the Rouge; it replaced the Mustang factory.
They call that grass roof the "Living Roof".
