Superchips 1700 Micro Tuner for 7.3 Powerstroke
Just got it back from Superchips after being updated. The found out it won't work on my early 95 F350.
The Superchips dude says if the OBDII connector is on the driver's side of the truck, the tuner will work just fine for 95-2001 powerstroke trucks. Of course, mine's on the passenger side.....
So, I am selling this one. It's like new with the newest program from superchips.
New 345.00, this one's 175.00 shipped.

The unit does have two stages, towing, and non towing.
The documentation I have with the unit does not directly state HP numbers, though.

If I were sure it would help my 97 I would buy it. My trucks Turbo acts like it's not spooling,it's a little "Lazy"

Re: Superchips 1700 Micro Tuner for 7.3 Powerstroke
My buddy with a '97 (the one who convinced me to have my tuner redone and use it) said that when he put his 1700 on his truck it seriously increased his low RPM torque. Seems like the fectory program is slow to bring in the fuel until the engine speed is high enough (1500 rpm or so) to eliminate smoke out the exhaust. Superchips apparently changed the fuel mapping to add fuel sooner, to spool the turbo faster for more seat of the pants power at the expense of more smoke.
Seems like a good tradeoff to me, and his truck had mUCH more power than my stocker.
Tell you what, if you buy it and don;t like it I'll give your $$$ back if you return the unit.

the super chip work great we put it on our 2000 f350 7.3 turbo at work and you can tell a big different when pulling a trailer and it got 276,000 miles on it and pulls better than the 02 7.3 turbo and the peace of crap 08.One thing about the super chip is you can put it back to stock and it also serve as a scanner for engine codes
