So you now have $600 invested, so depending on what the new intake costs, it will most likely be a much better deal for the people or engines that can or want to use it.
Lem when can I get on the list for one of these if you have even started a list yetLOL.
JMO Mark
Mark, that is true. The two Victors we tested the proto type against were heavily ported, I doubt you could get them duplicated for $350.00 , and the prototype still bested it across the board. Not just at peak. I am not for sure , but I think it never dropped below the Victor anywhere.
Charlie may still have the numbers.

Re: New TFS Intake Manifold ...pics
I figure it will cost somewhere between the current 4150 track heat intake ($400) and the A intake(~$600). I may be wrong but I dont see TFS introducing their new 4500 intake at the same price as the 4150.
I really like the TH intake I got from Lem last year at the seminar. Now I need a cam to keep up with it and my mafia heads.

what kind of power difference is there between a 4150 and 4500 flange on the same intake?

Don't think any one has done that test unless Randy Malick has. I assume you are talking about the 4500 Victor and the 4150 Victor with an adaptor with a dommi carb

Im thinking windsor is talking about a 4500 flange TFS intake vs the 4150 TFS intake with an adaptor.
If not...Im curious.

They done a dyno test (4150 intake/adapted to domi/vs domi on 4500 intake) in Engine Masters Mag. Summer 2009 edition, the only bad thing it's on a bb chebby- domi on 4500 intake was up 16 hp&9 ftlbs vs 4150 w/domi.-A

?
Has my eyesight diminished or does the water outlet pad have provisions for a thermostat (reference only) or the ability to restrict coolant flow? It is a nice looking part and I'm sure it will perform well. I know of two or three guys whom should be proud!

? (2).
While looking at the pictures of the new Trick Flow part, the "Hall Effect" has come to mind! Things that make you go .... hmmmmmm! Separating the runners and carburetor base from the valley I think is to originally, raise the runner for a better (direct) route to the cylinder head port and valve. Therefore the carburetor base must rise as well. Too, I hear separating the valley from the runners and carburetor base offers a cooling effect, separating the runners from heat of the engine oil and allows air to pass through the intake (externally) to offer cooling. Would it be beneficial as well to separate the coolant runner(s) in an effort to remove heat from the cylinder 1 and cylinder 5 intake runners? When I think about it, if the oil heating issue is valid, separating the coolant runner(s) would have more value. In a drag race engine, I would think engine oil temperature would much less than engine coolant temperature, the opposite from daily driving or endurance style efforts. Then again, attaching all parts as one may be less expensive.
On another note, in the case of attached coolant runner(s) to the intake runner(s), is there or have you guys found the need to tune the cylinders that may be effected by this example any different from the non or less effected cylinders?
Opinions please.
Dave.

Re: New TFS Intake Manifold ...pics
one could block the front water ports, mount the intake backwards, tap the now front two bosses and there ya go......................even go as far a to machine the t-stat housing and runner off.......save some weight.

You could machine the thermastat housing off and weld some bungs to either side of the valley. Then use -12 or hose to cross over & tee to the radiator.

Call Lem and get on the list.
June/July was the last word. I wouldn't hold my breath though, it was originally slated for release earlier this year also. Hopefully soon is all I can say.
