Would Two 1150s Work

Would two 1150,s be too much for a 557 full race motor in a 2360 pound car? With tfs a460 heads. I am post this for 557 mazda any in put would help.

what are the flow numbers on the heads and what are the cam specs , convertor etc.......

Nike not sure on the flow #s they are out of the box not porting done on them I will see when Rick get off work today on cam he had it custom ground 4500 on the stall I believe.I going to see if he will join over here that way it want be second hand info trying to decide on 2-1050s or 2-1150s.

It has a p/g trans 4.89 gears and he has 4.33 he can put back in it

I think the boosters, metering blocks, etc etc would matter more than cfm.

And engine specs, cam, comp, heads etc would also help in deciding.

OK it has a a comp cam custom grind 276 280 duro .726 .692 lift, 14.5 compression, tfs A460 heads out of the box car wieght 2360#, p/g trans with t-brake, 4500 stall ,and 4.89 gears this is a 1/8 mile car max 7200 rpms it ran 5.60s in the 1/8 with tfs a460 intake with 1250 dom. pro system carb let me now if you need any more info

If it ran good with a Pro Systems 1250 it will run fine with 2 1150's..............granted they are not some stock box holley carbs some guy had sittting in the corner of the shop for 20 years.

He just called me and is going to call Lem on a new cam ,Jon he aunt one to just put anything on it more than likely be holley dominator carbs

We ran two 1050's worked over by Patrick James at Pro Systems on our A460 head 557" engine. However, our heads weren't stock, they were fully worked and we were running a lot larger camshaft. At that time, he didn't recommend the 1150's that we had. You might want to call someone like Patrick and get his input...

thanks Nevs maybe Patrick will chime in, when he get with Lem on the cam and all Lem might tell with he feels with will be best to use, he had patrick build the 1250 for him

what kind of hp is he looking for? turbo car dont need big cams most of the 2000hp+ alco cars run on a single 1450.

Soryy i should have asked is this going to be a turbo car the cr is a little on the high side but can work your tune window is going to be small.
