How much does it cost to get 4bolt caps get put on?(roughly) and what can my 77 460 block with center 4bolt caps block handle?
want to make 850 ish
but need to know a price roughly what a machine shop is gonna charge

Anywhere from $300 to $500,from what i'm told,and should handle about as much as the Bore will produce,NA of coarse

like to do a 532 and run 13.1 compression with som tfs or kaase p-51 heads
get my stang to run in the mid to low 9s
and make 800ish at flywheel

Actually ... installing 4 bolt caps on your 2 bolt block will make the BLOCK weaker however, the caps will certainly be stronger and main cap walk will be less.

i have a 552 4.5 stroke .060 over 13:1 cr with p51 heads 4500 victor 460 intake with 1250 quick fuel carb making 832hp 738tk 2 bolt 71 modle block.how long will it last i dont know im going to try to keep the rpm's down to 6800 and find out or until i can afford a new 4 bolt block.
