The difference is as follows: the D0VE-A head ends with the suffix, "A," and the D0VE-C ends with the suffix, "C." Other than that, they are both essentially the same.429stang wrote:What is the difference between Dove-c heads and Dove -a heads and which is better?...thanks in advance
NOTE: Some D0VE heads are drilled for Thermactor (drilled smog pump passages) and some are not . This is regardless of whether they are D0VE-A's or D0VE-C's (either may be or may not be drilled). If you are looking at D0VE heads for a performance (non-emmissions) standpoint, opt for the non-drilled D0VE heads. Of course, take other cylinder head features (such as seat condition, etc) into account as well if necessary.
