Re: 2010 TS mustang in the works
Oh, and we also got some more testing done. We went up to norwalk for Friday night Chaos and ran in the door wars program(we knew we wouldn't qualify we were mostly there cause we knew the track would be good)
The engine builder told us we were babying the motor too much, so we are shifting at 7900 now and launching at 5400. the first pass was a 1.12 60 ft then i had to shut it down. it seemed to be staying in first a long time(setup up to shift on RPM with a shiftnoid) so i reached for the shifter to put it into high and hit the switch to activate the trans brake to back up. Thankfully the transbrake was locked out through the delay box and all it did was activate the launch rev limiter.
we moved the bracket for that switch as soon as i got it back to our pit. second run was much better. 1.10 60 ft and shifted when it was supposed to and ran a 4.80 @ 147.33. it was lazy in high and is running a little rich. the air fuel ratio was around 11.3 to 1 and also with the heat we think it might have been timed a little slow. all things considered it was a great outing. the car launched super straight and everything is working great. we are going to make a few adjustments tomorrow, then tuesday and wednesday we are going back to norwalk for frank hawley's school and hopefully we can get it to run fast enough to get my Advanced ET license.

ALso here are a bunch of pictures.

Dan from Advanced Chassis came with us to muncie the week before, he had to make a few adjustments. Ken came along to norwalk, it ran so straight he had to find something to do and the pound of Ice Cream for a doller was too close to pass up.

Re: 2010 TS mustang in the works
Thanks again guys, We made some 1/4 mile runs up at norwalk to get my advanced ET license and things went very well, it went 7.41@187.4, 7.41@186.8, and 7.42@187.8. best 60ft was a 1.09. We tried to make it up to the fords at the summit race, but vacuum pump troubles brought us back home an hour after we unloaded. Ken @ advanced chassis is going to make some chassis adjustments at the next race he can make it to. he thinks for the power we're making he should be able to get the 60fts down to 1.05 or so.

Re: 2010 TS mustang in the works
It's been awhile so i figured it was time for an update. We just got back last night from the division 3 race at bowling green. We had a good time and learned alot about the car. We ran new best in the heat during the 3rd qualifying session. it was about 92 degrees out and the altitude was over 3000 ft. after 2nd session the bump was 7.37 and we had previously ran a 7.39 and were sitting @ 33rd. We took out the extra battery and any spare brackets we weren't using, we raised the launch RPM from 5400 to 5600 and jetted it down from 92s to 90. after the dust settled we had improved to a 7.29 @ 190MPH, but the bump had also fallen to a 7.28
over all it was a good weekend.
over all it was a good weekend.

If you ever get the chance to race at pacemakers dragway in Mt Vernon Ohio you should, great track and great and friendly people. We went a new best 60ft of 1.06
