Spark plug gap for ar3934 plugs

Post  nuclearcobra on March 5th 2010, 7:14 am

this is for my 76 cobra 2 that has the 302 with the kaase canted valve heads i gapped them at .045 but had a few people say that autolite says run them with the factory gap which was .026 Shocked i never heard of runnin a gap that small unless it was gettin a boat load of nitrous. The motor is about 10.5to1 compression has a flat hyd 292 magnum cam from comp that is 244@.050 and 534 lift a victor jr ,650dp carb with 70-78 jets it has a msd 6a box and dizzy. So does .045 sound right ? thats what i always gap my plugs at even on my 472 which has autolite #45's in it unless its on the juice then i gap them to .030 but this is the 1st time running autolites ar plugs do they need a smaller gap ?
