I have never broken 8.8 gears. I also never use pro gears but have never ran that steep of gears either. We run 3.70 gears on our sb turbo car and when we had the nitrous engine in running mid 5's we were running 3.73's from Ford motorsports. I hear that Motive is making these now but I'm not for sure.

You're running taller tires so I understand your need. If I was you I would probably go back with those but strange and MW both make strong gears but I'm not sure about the softer "pro" versions. Richmond has a "pro" 4.11 now.
