Going to the dyno..

Post  P.Lafferty on March 15th 2010, 12:56 pm

Gunna take my "junk yard 466" to the dyno this friday for shits and gigs. If anyone wants to try and guess what it will make the specs are as follows, around 11:1 466 with ported TFS streets and victor with 1050 dommy. Cam is a solid flat tappet .620in .640ex. lift and .255in .262ex duration maybe a little off on the lift but not much. Using a set of 2" headers fenderwell for a truck. I dont reall have any expectations high or low for this motor I have been running this motor for a few years and has always seemed to run ok and been fun. Tell me what u guys think!

Alky?

Post  511Fox on March 20th 2010, 8:23 am

Alky made that much of a difference Question

I wonder if E-85 would be about the same Question

Thanks guys, Tq. on alky 624 @ 4900 not 5900 like i posted above typo. It was a adp 1050 alky carb my buddy had with no tuning we just made a couple of pulls with it i didnt expect to see that much gain. On gas it was a ProSystems 1050 wich seemed to be right on we did change jets from 88 sq. to 91 sq. The engine was still climbing at 6500 but it looked like at 61-6300 had a little blip in the graph and would start to pick back up Im thinking maybe valve float? Going from 1.75 headers to 2 in. gained 25+ hp and around 20 ft.lbs also pushing the hp up past 6500 as aposed to peaking at 6100 with the smaller header.
On gas 4 gal. 92 oct. 1 gal. 112
Hp TQ.
4600 507.5 579.5
4700 524.4 586
4800 539.5 590.3
