Is how it works for the Detroit Diesel ENGINE displacement but it's NOT how it works with the blower displacement. For instance a 1271 is NOT 2X a 671 blower even though it would be engine displacement wise.

I think Dave is assuming everyone remembers that the old Detroit diesels where 2 strokes not 4 strokes. Ole scream'n demons!

I remember them days, I worked in the parts department for western branch diesel then, they built and sold Detroit Diesel's.
