C6 Question

Ok so I finally drove the Torino around my apt complex a little just to see if it would even drive out of 1st. Lol! I have an 88 mustang 302 that is stock and a C6 that I think is just a stock rebuild and I added the dreaded B&M shift improver kit. When I took it out I noticed that it shifted all 3 gears within a few yards! Do I just need to adjust the shift modulator? It seems to shift with the bite it is supposed to as I got on it a little and it bit into 2nd but I wasnt going very far. I didnt really pound too much on it as I am still getting the feel for it and making sure I have no issues. If you think it is the modulator which way and with what do I adjust it? I havent done this in over 8 years and kind of slipped my mind. Oh and incase it matters I have 4.56 gears does that do it?
