Yes it is a fastback. I bought it for $550.00 when I was 15.
When I was young and poor I kept modifying the 390. 4 barrel cast iron manifold
and dual exhaust was the first thing. Then I added a 3.56 geared 9" differential.
Then came the Hooker headers - a big ticket item back in the 80's over $600.00.
Next was an aluminum intake and cam change (one of several) Last cam in the 390 was a Lunati
stock class cheater cam.
The car sat in my parents garage for 10 years. Then came the BBF.
What an enormous difference - 500+ cu in does the job.

Cool. My father had a 68 XL GT fastback 390 4spd. That was the gateway drug to the way I am today. I would love to see more photos. Its not a body style that you see many of.

Picture when I was in high school.
Did alot of cruising in Lethbridge back them.
390 at that time.
Also the old paint job too. Those wheels were popular way back then.
Now the car sits much lower on the back.
