I wasn't trying to be a smart ass. was just asking why would it be any different reg. bolt head or nut ??

so then what is the reasoning to have two diff style fasteners on the caps ? ....from what i read the allen head can be a superior fastener in most applications ......

the reason for the bolts is room Idea they are very close to the center part of the cap and they are splayed.

OK. I see why Nick asked the ?. but now I have one. why is the allen head better for torque.. just trying to learn something new.

it aint.it's no better than the bolt in the center and should'nt be any trouble to torque.most allen bolts are better grade than your parts store grade 5 stuff but not automotive bolts. Smile

The progression is: ULTRA ( with cast nodular iron caps), ULTRA (with billet steel caps), PREMIER (with billet steel caps).
