That really sucks Wes, Glad you are grtting a good start on it before the Bash. Coming to the Bash w/o the ole Black truck would be like having a family reunion dinner w/o desert. Sad

The bracket season is over up here in wisconsin. Kinda cold....wish I was able to be racing in november. The local race season ends the first week of october Crying or Very sad

Yes sir, that's how they fail. Especially if they've been re-torqued a few times. We won't put more than 50 runs on a set of aluminum rods and we run the lightest components we can buy. I think your choice of a steel replacement rod is a good idea.
