That really sucks Wes, Glad you are grtting a good start on it before the Bash. Coming to the Bash w/o the ole Black truck would be like having a family reunion dinner w/o desert.

The bracket season is over up here in wisconsin. Kinda cold....wish I was able to be racing in november. The local race season ends the first week of october

Yes sir, that's how they fail. Especially if they've been re-torqued a few times. We won't put more than 50 runs on a set of aluminum rods and we run the lightest components we can buy. I think your choice of a steel replacement rod is a good idea.
