this years build is coming along nicely , and so is my new project 2nd gear transbrake in a C6 to make it a 2 speed for the Big HP cars with a 1.54 ratio 2nd

not yet as just because it looks like it should work doesn't mean that it will !! once I get one built and tested I should have a couple for sale ,the fluid flows show it should work it's just a matter of getting the orificing flows right

Since I followed your build recommendations for one of your normal trans brakes would I have to change anything other then swapping valve body's?

Could a valve body be built with both solenoids, one for a 1st gear start and one for a 2nd gear start? Might be kinda useful in a mud truck depending on the type of pit you're running in.

my original Transbrake uses low gear line pressure to apply high gear when the Transbrake is applied , which is kind of a safety feature as the brake will only apply in 1st gear ,hitting the transbrake button in any gear other than 1st nothing will happen (except it turn on the staging rev limiter)which actually works pretty good bracket racing as if your leading to the stripe you can push the transbrake button and put the motor on your starting line 2 step rev limiter to kill ET , the NEW Trans brake VB is the same but it's using 2nd gear pressure.

All of us that use your products and have followed your instructions for building a C6 really appreciate your hard work and knowledge. If it wasn't for you Frank we wouldn't have a C6 option because I doubt anyone else is working on a 2 speed C6 or will for that matter.

There is kind of a method to my madness as my new car with the 712 Boss motor and turbo's and 4000hp will no need 3 gears !

I sell a proven product at a fair price and my new vb will be the same and a rollerized C6 against a TH400 as a 2 speed racing trans as we don't have to worry about rolling a sprag in the trans. and as long as you don't drill bleeds in the direct drum you can neutral the trans at 9000 +rpm crossing the finish line

the bleed hole I'm talking about is a .060" hole drilled behind the piston ,all my drums are drilled like this to add in cooling the clutches and cooling the band

Dropped in on Frank the other day..he wiped the sweat from his brow long enough to show me some goodies. The VB's were all lined up on his "production line" and the aluminum drum is a work of art...that is weightless!
Even had a peek at the swoopy new car he is working on. He has great toys alright!
