Thanks

The reid is good stuff, you will need the case, bell and flywheeel to make it work. That set up is a little longer than a std glide, but since you are redoing it all coming from a 3 speed it wont matter. Dont skimp on internals............and you can usually buy one already done cheaper than it is to piece it together yourself.

I like the JW stuff, I just had a issue with conveter clearence. My only advice is to get a converter made for a 1/8 or 3/16 thick mid-plate you can always shim the converter. JW tech is top notch to deal with. I like them because they re-sell well. X2 what Jon said about the internals!

j/w problems i'v saw were with the bell on a sbc deal.it was a older one but the converter that fit fine before the stock bell broke would'nt fit after they put the j/w bell on it.most of this stuff is a "cut to fit"anyway i think, hell i had to put a .125 spacer between my case & bell on my c4 when i done the last converter swap and i ran it in a c6 before with no problems.i went to PTC today and they're building me a reid case promod glide.i'v looked and looked and all i could find was a used trans with a new price so i just went with them.i'm sure i'll see all kinds of good deals now,LOL thanks for the help Very Happy

I have the Reid/ Dedenbear one piece case with chevy bolt pattern for my dragster and never had any problems. You might price out the Case,Bell, and flex plate for your application. Then price out the complete one piece case and the ATI adapter kit with the flexplate. It may come out cheaper. Also if done that way I know you can use anybody converter if your ever in a predicament and you need a converter.

Reid cases sure are pretty. I have never had problems with any brand. Lucky I guess. We built this one for a pretty good price.

I have had this stock case glide for sale for a while and people keep low balling me. I tell them to try to build one for less. The gearset is $1100. 300m input shafts and modified pumps, the parts price add up in a hurry.

The JW case/bell setup is what I use for non-GM builds. They've updated and improved the cases with each generation. Usually around $2500-ish to build a stock case Glide with a 1.80 gearset, good input shaft/pump combo, dual ring servo, pro brake, deep pan, etc. Add a bit more for the JW case if desired.

Slowly, lol. They're still getting things ramped up to produce them. The first incarnation will be a SBF/Glide from what I've been told. So you're hosed pal! Then I believe the Mopile/Glide is up next. After that I'm not sure but I've lobbied for the BBF/Glide to come out before they do the standard GM version. Which I believe should also have the BOP pattern on it. It's silly to produce a trans case for GM guys and only have it fit Chevy engines. Hey wait... I was nice to Jon... what's up with that... I'm supposed to harass him today since I'm here.... jocolor

Cool Lol. This site is pretty darn civil which is a nice change of pace from 'the other' place. And I halfway fit here as I did race this in the past and it had a 302 in it (not a blue one though...):
