Guys it's about 5/8" taller at the carb pad than the Victor.

Charlie is correct on the height, also to be noted its not just the carb pad that is raised but rather the runners as well. The Mafia intake is also a good 3.5 #'s lighter over a well ported Victor as well.

describe "and such"......?? On the other hand, just keep that to yourself!
Is that a production piece or is that the "first" one that Lem had at the Bash?

Yep, didn't catch that. Been a looong day at work, and I went in late to boot!
Curious to see how much that flat black ride picks up with it... Might finally dip into the 8s...

We're set up for 1/8th mile currently, Went a 5.60 3 weeks ago, got the same tuneup in it it had then, the air will be an exception, along with a pretty gooey track. I have enough data with different conditions so any improvement will be no problem to catch.
As noted the manifold was just under 4#'s lighter, although I prolly cut .5 #'s worth of extra material from mine. Those front and rear runners plus the added runner height should help considerably I'd think. I'm not a baller like KY with all his 8 egts and such, and i run the same nozzel in all 8 runners so i'm sure just evening out everything will be a help.
My Street heads already had a CJ match on them, it could use just a touch here and there, but the fit is much better than my CJ matched victor. I did no cleanup at all to the plenum or runners, there is still some flash but nothing major, time constraints and having to cut them stupid bungs off did not allow me to mess with it. I did just barely blend the top of the point there in the center as my open spacer left an edge showing. I'll clean everything up a smidge this winter when I freshen it up and go bigger bore.
We need to tank all those involved for this deal, we already have some dyno numbers and such but this will be a good test for the end result.
It'll be a hero or a zero...............we'll soon see, and I cant wait to turn the button loose on my glide soon enough............

Re: TFS PRE-Production, aka Mafia manifold
Here's a little something for those of us that need a vacuum port. The front hole for the throttle bracket goes into the #8 runner. I just got mine back from the machine shop and heres the pics of what I had them do. I removed the rear boss and smoothed it down to the runner. On this manifold, the bolt hole was way off center to the casting boss, so I had to take it to a local machine shop and have them put it in a mill to recenter the hole. They drilled it to a 7/16" hole and then tapped it 1/4NPT. I now have a place to put my hose for the vac brake booster. the modulator for the tranny, and a place for the techs to check my idle vac for the class I will race in now.

The boss seems to be low enough to put a 1/4 NPT tee in for what I need and still be out of the way of the carb and linkage.
