Is 0.050" endplay in a c6 too much???

Post  f100cleveland on May 28th 2010, 10:25 pm

I put my c6 together today and found out that my endplay was 0.050". Problem is, I can't just swap out a thicker thrust between the pump/direct because thats been replaced with torrington bearing. I'm hoping I can find a thicker torrington bearing race, but no local shops have had any luck. I'm building the trans with Franks specs (0.020-0.045") since I'm using his v/b.

Thanks in advance.

.050" is way too much. What about a thin shim under the torrington? Torrington do .030 shims as races to go with their roller bearing if you can get the size .
