460 with edelbrock victor heads

Post  reeseracing23 on June 10th 2010, 1:38 pm

i have a 460 thats bored .080 over with srp flat top pistons. they have secondary gapless rings.the block has screw in freeze plugs, its been align bored, torque plate honed and zero decked. has arp studs and rod bolts through out. also has truck rods and has been balanced. the cam i have for it is a lunati solid roller voodoo(pn 64033), comp endurex lifters, comp pro magnum pushrods. the heads are edelbrock victor heads that have been worked a little, they have .100 longer valves, titanium retainers, and the correct crane springs for the cam. i'm sure i'm forgetting stuff but you get how the engine was built. i didn't try to skimp on parts. you will need bbc rockers and an intake for the engine. i tried bbf rockers and they sit to far off the tip of the valve, they are comp magnum1.8.i tried 1.7 bbc rockers and they worked perfect. the short block is assembled, so you would have to put the top end on it. but if i was buying this kind of engine i'd rather have it apart so i could inspect it before i bought it. i have a msd probillet distributor and some tall aluminum valve covers and jomar rocker stud girdles. i don't want to seperate the engine at this time. i would possibly trade for a stroker windsor. i can send pics if some one is interested
