so sorry for the late response, for some reason i'm not getting notifications !

the spacers work good, it did make using the stock steering shaft impossible i have pretty good clearance. i have a torker 2 intake with holley 750 drop base air cleaner and still have over an inch of clearance, i can put my old school 125 holley nitrous plate on it and its 1" thick and still have room to close the hood ! and yes i'm using the turbo coupe axles ! man i love your midnight blue coupe...... i had a 93 hatch and wished it was a coupe. my 91 is getting some fresh silver paint maybe next month !

well i took the car to the dump today and weighed it ! ended up being 3260lbs with me in it and i'm 195lbs so its about 3065lbs. not bad considering its still pretty much stock. the only things removed from the car are sway bars rear seat and sound deadener insulation and misc airbag sensors !

i just wanted to let you guys know that i have been having fuel problems and the carb has never acted right since day one. i went to the track 2 weeks ago and had fuel pressure problems, come to find out my tank was rusted and the more i drove it the more rust was stopping up every piece in my fuel system, i have since then put in a new fuel tank installed a bulkhead fitting in the bottom of the slosh tank and flushed my line and cleaned out the fuel pump reg and carb, and bought an 850 to try ! the carb has never felt right when the 4bbl would come in and was very lazy. long story short the fuel pressure would drop to 1-2 psi after i left the line and went to 0 before the 1/8 every run and managed....


1st run 36 deg timing

1.82 60ft
7.87 1/8 et
90.39 mph
12.57 1/4 et
88.06 1/4 mph (let out) checking brakes we have a very short shut down !


2nd run 36 deg timing

1.83 60ft
7.90 1/8 et
90.20 mph
12.25 1/4 et
112.83 mph it about died at the end when i let off because the bowls were dry !


3rd run 32 deg timing

1.87 60ft
7.97 1/8 et
89.97 1/8 mph
12.33 1/4 et
112.46 1/4 mph still about died because of no fuel in the bowls




all in all i can't believe it ran what it did with no fuel pressure. can't wait to run it again with the fresh fuel system and the 850 dp !

sorry for not updating sooner. At the moment the car is in primer almost ready for new titanium paint,new headlights, cowl panel and window tint. since the last runs at the track i have added a 850dp, advanced the cam to +4 deg and added solid lifters to the a443 cam. It feels stronger than it did but not what i think it should be. The engine doesn't feel right and it now has a smoking problem on start up that it didn't have till after i advanced the cam, so i'm thinking it has something to do with the intake gaskets !

k frame spacers

I have header problems on a 83 502 swap (hooker swap headers). I have an aftermarket k and was looking at your spacers. How much trouble was it to space the k frame?

Cool build man Congrats. Yes there will be bugs. But that's how it goes.
Do all bbf. Swap need the k member spacers?
Did your headers fit without beating on them.
Keep up the good work

oh what are u going to do about the master cylinder? Get a manual pedal or modify yours if you modify your get some before and after pics please thanks
