I just meant that if you go into a project knowing you want to front half and back half, skip the truck frame and lay down a couple of 2x3's and do it right the first time.
Doug, your truck is an evolutionary project like many people's projects are. Nothing wrong with that, but on a new build, it seems silly to saw off the front of the truck, then saw off the back and keep a short hunk of stock frame.
