scarry drive through town.

Post  Tennessee Bullitt on July 23rd 2010, 6:29 pm

I was driving around to day and I looked at my gague and it showed 195 then it wasn't long before it was pushing 225 toping around 230. I pulled over and shut down and about 5 min later it droped down to 190. I had 1 mile left to the house so I hauled the mail and it got back to 210. I think I will only drive it on cooler days. I am glad I didn't hurt my motor. I am still going to check it out. Heat sucks!!!!!!!!!!

It normally runs 195 give or take in a long stop and go traffic in 95 degree muggy weather. Now it is like 100+ degrees. I am over cautious so I like to stay on top of everything. On a side note I cranked th rpms and went fishtailing about 50 mph in all three gears downmain street. That could have had a little to do with the high temps coming after that.

Ha, sounds like fun!! The RPMs were to increase your water pump flow to help in the cooling right???? Did the officer buy that???? Laughing Laughing
