I will be posting the complete build once I get the stall / gears where they should be.....so there is some good data to go by.

This motor is actually a nitrous motor, and I'm running it N/A. Its really a nice bracket motor, and has a ton of room for improvement in the piston/valvetrain area for more power. Something to look forward to this winter.. Cool

Quick run down:

A460 block - 4.615 bore
CS Billet crank 3.85 stroke
GRP 5001 rods 6.800
Diamond custom pistons - 728 grams - lightened to 664 grams - trend pins - 173 grams
Total seal gold ring pkg
Old tfs A-460 heads - 2.400/1.900 titanium valves - flow 452-300 @ 0.800 (single 45 degree valve job)
Cammotion billet roller - 284/301 @ 0.050, 825/779 lift
New style tfs single 4500 intake
SV1 1400 cfm carburetor

Currently running on Klotz 118 fuel. Im sure there is more to be had on Q16... Very Happy

I guess the most satisfying aspect is, I built this motor here at home myself.

The scariest part was, going thru the 1/4 the first time shifting at 8000+, praying it stayed together........but I'm over that now.... Laughing Laughing Laughing

That has got to be one of the best looking 4 eyed foxes that I have seen. Nice stance all the way around annd the sleeper brown color does the car justice. One of those cars that if you glanced at it you would assume it is a 12 second car ......... Nice.

Seeing your cars on here the last few years, and the attention to detail, I take that as a huge compliment. Thankyou!!

feetfirst wrote:Haven't been saying much.......but, the car is finally running properly after being plagued by a few different issues with ignition, valvetrain etc.....

Last weekend was my first full weeekend of running full out, and actually getting some good data to move forward running in the All Motor class up here.

The motor is an A-headed 515 CI, and I run over 3000 lbs...

So far the car the car responded to lash / carb / timing changes, with an 8.88 @ 155.6 off the trailer, and on my last pass for the weekend it ran a 8.80 @ 157.

D/A was 3000-3200 both days.

This is with the SV1 carburetor.

The DATA,

Stall speed is 5000......should be 6400-6600...... Shocked 60 ft is 1.28 right now....
Trap rpm in the 1/4......7400 rpm...should be 8000+... Shocked

Once I get the stall/gears right, I see no reason it shouldn't be in the 8.50's at 3000 ft, and 8.30's in the fall when the air gets better.

Thats all for now...... Very Happy

The bottom picture needs to be on a T- shirt............. Cool That looks killer Twisted Evil
