Re: tire growth rate ???
minitubs without notching frame rail seems like a waste to me. Notch those things. Easy to do.

You can probably look at your slicks and notice just the edges look like they never touch the track and just inside of that looks like its a little rough. A friend and I were talking about this lastnight hes still got the 10" rim like i also had before and he noticed this on his slicks after going to a 12" rim tire looks the same all the way across. I went with a 12"x5.5 bs cut like 2 3/4 off each side of the stock 8.8. When I get home I can send some pics of space between tire and frame.
please do ...thxs

do you have any pics on what you are talking about
I'll dig something up.

Re: tire growth rate ???
I don't have pics of the insides but I found these.

here are a couple before the cut with the 28x10.5 tires

plenty of clearance now with small cuts. When you trim the lower wheel wells you will have to fill in the body gaps that you make or smoke and other stuff will get in. we chose to use small pieces of aluminum to do the job with some clear silicone from Wal-Mart.

We are using a holeshot holestar 15x12 with a 6 7/8 backspace. The big tires are 29.5x10.5s. I have no doubt that a w would fit though.

Re: tire growth rate ???
how much room you have now between the sidewall and the frame? Measure the sidewall to sidewall you have now.............get Justin to get his measurement for you.then you will know.

Re: tire growth rate ???
Its a 29.5x10.5s on 15x12 with 5.5 bs. I wanted a little deeper dish rim so i cut off a little more than most when putting the 9"ends on. But a 6.5 bs on a 12" rim will put the tire in the same spot as a 10" with a 5.5 bs. You say you have 1/4 to the fender with a 28" you measuring the tread? On a 29.5 it will be up in the fender,I have 1/2 from my sidewall the the fender lip.
