4.5" Scat cast crank, how much HP are you guys running through them?

I'm a little worried about the one in my 545. Just wondering how much these buggers have been taking in the real world.

Well, I had the crank magnafluxed two seasons ago and it checked out fine..... but that was before the 200 shot.

I'm debating whether or not I should step up to a forged crank, but $$$ is kinda tightm you know how it is.

I'm probably gonna have the crank magnafluxed again this winter just to check, but I was really wanting to see how hard guys have been pushing these cranks out there in real life.

This engine is probably around 850HP on the spray.

I'd say your at or a little above the realistic limit IMO, call Adney and get a forged one he can even balance it to you bob weight so theirs no hastle.

Adney's definitely the man I would go to for a crank. He's the one who set me up with what I have now, so I already know his service and price can't be beat.

I had one in my first 557...that motor made 821 hp...it lasted exactly 260 passes...mostly 1/8 mile with some 1/4. The motor was never turned past 6800.
This was a N/A deal, no spray ever, shifted at 6200 bracket motor...FWIW.
