Impressive build and a very nice car to boot. I have seen pictures of the car before but never associated it with a member here. I got a soft spot for Silver ................. Very Nice- Best Looking Mustang to date in my book

Re: 572 CID - Stock Kaase P51 heads
Here is the dyno sheet:
I am very happy, especially when you consider I am running unported Kaase P51 heads. I really believe this motor is capable of 980 if it had a larger carb, larger cam, and ported heads. I did go a little small on the cam due to me wanting a low maintenance engine (with regards to valve springs).
Now I need to take the car down to have custom headers made, get the right converter with the ATI Powerglide, and some other details (like a belly pan--since I do not want to run an engine diaper) etc. so the car will not see the track until January.
Here is the video!

Re: 572 CID - Stock Kaase P51 heads
good intake manifolding.........it was in a 2 hp range for 500 rpm up high.
Re: 572 CID - Stock Kaase P51 heads
Charlie and gang made that thing happen while ago.......we just need more of them.
Re: 572 CID - Stock Kaase P51 heads
awesome , great bang for the buck , until you start breaking rear ends, converters , drag the bumper off etc

Shooting for January. Still need to get the trans and converter and get the custom headers built--so it will be a couple more months.

That thing sounds sweet!! Congrats on the #'s. Now, myself having never been in a dyno session, what is that high pitched whine/squeal when you shut it down, is that just the hub on the dyno?

Yeah that was the sound the engine dyno made once the pull stopped at 7500 rpm

I wonder how much more it would've made if you tried a bigger carb then two carbs

2 carbs would need a tunnel ram...........the Weiand out of the box I'm not so sure it would have made much diff on his combo......besides I think the unported exhaust is whats gettin in the way right now.

Yeah I will be porting the heads, more carb, more cam next time around when I refresh the motor---one reason why I will be watching your build closely for sure.

Re: 572 CID - Stock Kaase P51 heads
What is interesting is the hp peak is at the same rpm as my 4.300 stroke 562. I would think this engine would have a lot more port velocity than mine and if the crutch is the exhaust port would it have peaked at a lower rpm ?
I know this is like comparing apples to oranges , but this engine's in /ex valve ratio is more equal than mine, the smaller carb does not seem to be having an effect on the peak rpm so I would guess something has to be happening to the incoming fuel mixture at this rpm on both engines.
Its got to be the intake tract or the exhaust tract and I am leaning more to the intake side myself.
Anyway the engine is making awesome power for what it is no doubt about it.
