It's an 8.90 car. Not sure about chassis year. For the rules your best to get them from NHRA but the chassis's dont need to cert but they do have to pass inspection. You could make some sprocket changes or to make it run the ET you need for your 8 year old. Its easier to slow down a fast car than speed up a slow one. Be sure to check out the racingjunk ad for all the details.

What year is it? I see it doesn't have the helmet bars. Would it need anything else to pass inspection at an NHRA track?

And guys, $3500 for this is a smokin' deal...

To slow it down just add a restricor plate behind the carb... It takes alot to slow down a fast car. BUT it takes even more to speed one up...

Not sure on the year, its been out of action for a couple years though so I'm not sure what updates it may need, but i'm sure they are minor. One thing I'm sure of is that I did put the thicker crank support on it that is now required. I have both the belt and chain guards that are required but they both have minor cracks. I just got a new tig and will gladly repair the cracks once I get my tig hooked up. It needs leg restaints which is just nylon webbing that goes accross the frame above the steering shaft. Probably the helmet bars you mentioned. To get the jr dragster rule book you have to pay for a membership 10 or 15 dollars.

Slow it down? Sprockets, Carb/restrictor, Clutch springs and wieghts, or the easiest and cheapest way. It has a thottle stop on the go pedal. Just remembered that.

Low 70's

At 8 he will have to dial a 12.90

Some would say this is too much car for an 8yo, I say it leaves lots of room for him to grow into it.

Also interested in trade offers just no junk please. that doesnt mean no projects, just not garbage

I am interested in your junior dragster. I have a 1979 Ford F150 short bed that I am going to be getting rid of. It is a 4x4 with a 460 and a c6.
