blew a spark plug out, 93 F250
Figures, the day I list my truck for sale, the #2 spark plug blows right out of the head. All the porcelain is out, leaving me a nice clean hole to jam the easy-out into. HOWEVER.........so far, no amount of heat (from the measly MAPP gas torch), quench, Aerokroil, cussin', cheater bar, hammer & punch, seances, voo-doo, and more swearing has been able to budge that SOB. My next thought is to borrow an oxy-acetylene deal and get 'er orange before I throw water on it. I REALLY did not want to pull the head off this thing. Any tips????
P.S. Anyone want to buy a sweet Dana 60 bigblock 93 F250? I'll give you a deal if I don't have to fix the spark plug!

I have fixed several blown out plugs on ford trucks around here.
The easiest way I have found is to heat with a torch and as it cools shoot some PB blaster around it. Let it cool off some first or you may have a flash fire
.
Wait till it has cooled competely and try the extractor.
Sometimes it takes heating it up a couple times but has always worked for me.
Oh and the square extractors work better than the spiral ones for me.
Good luck,
mike

One thing I have found out the spiral one as they go in they try to expand the peace I am trying to get out they do seem stronger but a pain to use.I like the sqaure ones but both have there places that better than the other.

Broke the plug, it fell in the cylinder. Time to pull the heads. Oh well.

It stinks when that happens.
I should have told you to take the other 7 plugs out before spending too much time on the blown out plug.
The last one I did was a 95 f150 with a 302. There ended up being 5 out of the 8 plugs break. I got real lucky that all the ceramic ends came out in 1 peice.
#8 was the worst one to remove the threaded end.
I had to pull a head off a s10 blazer with a 4.3 to clean the ceramic out of a cylinder once. 8 hours,10 bloody knuckles and a sore back later it was running.
