Vin Decoder Help

Post  jmayabb on November 10th 2010, 8:42 pm

Could someone help me out with this vin tag? I know it is a 1969 police interceptor with a 428 but what about the other numbers? My uncle passed away a couple of months ago and my aunt is wanting to sell an old car that he had bought. It is a complete car with motor, transmission, rear end, etc.

9U50P157500

62E NAA 28D 280307 6 U
Body Trim Date D.S.O. Axle Trans

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the help guys. I think it was an old state car. After doing some research I think it was driven by a detective. I have never seen a 2 door sedan 428 police interceptor. It really is a neat old car and I wish we could keep it but we already have too many toys. That is what my mom and wife say anyway. Smile

My aunt now owns the car. My uncle and his 2 sons opened up a circle track earlier in the spring in our small town of Campton, KY. They have been circle track guys from way back. The track crowds grew at an enormous rate and have outgrown the track. On August 28, 2010 the crowd was so big that people didn't have anywhere to park. I took my uncle down to help park cars and he was accidentally run over and lost his life due to the injuries he sustained. It has been very tough on our family. We are really close.

The track website is www.191speedway.com. If you scroll down the front page I wrote a little piece about my uncle Wince Mayabb.
