514 MOTORSPORT crate engine

Post  scottke on November 10th 2010, 10:01 pm

SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!!!
Thanks ALAN!
Enjoy!

It's time to sell this motor to get ready for the BIG motor.
Motor is to be sold intake to pan, Hooker long tubes, CSR electric water pump. No dizzy.
PART # M-6007-D514

.030" over production block
cast crank
Eagle 4340 H beam rods
Forged pistons 28 cc dish .990" floating pins
speed pro rings

cam specs - .647" int .647" ext solid roller
roller lifters
Motorsport steel balancer
Fox body oil pan
dominator intake is powdercoated Mexican chrome
This motor looks brand new
I'm sure I'm forgetting some things.

In a 3200lbs coupe with a glide and 4:10 gears this motor ran a best of 6.38 at 107 and several 10.00 at 130 in the 1/4. There is still more potential in it.

This motor has around fifty passes on it, most are 1/8 mile.
I run Amsoil in it. At cold start it holds 75psi and close to that when at operating temp.

heads - New version SCJ 72cc
Motorsport 1.72 rockers
hardened pushrods
Motorsport valve covers

$$$4800 it's got to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any ? just PM.
Thanks guys.

Nice looking engine (and car) Scott !

I was wanting to talk to you on Sat. Oct. 16th @ US 60, but I broke the trans in my maroon 87 TC and was busy running to get the other T-Bird set up for the bracket races.
Anyway, got a couple of questions about your setup.

Did you have to tweak those Hooker headers to fit ? (# 7 tube ?)
Also, are you using any k-member spacers ?

#7 tube was cute at the bend where the steering shaft goes through and a little bigger bend was put in to add clearence. I didn't use any k-member spacers. Hope this helps.
