high rpm shifting, not the good kind

Post  bb429power on Thu 2 Dec - 19:51

A kid I know has a 1999 f250 v10 engine and the trans??? Unsure right now. But, I guess he is having a problem where the engine will shift really late. The rpm's climb way high before it does anything, could this be a fluid issue? He wants me to drive it, I ain't got a problem with that Laughing But what would cause this? Any ideas?

No, his engine was running rough and his heat would only be on defrost. Fixed that sucker up and its never run better, at 202k on a v6. He had a problem where he would hit the gas and nothing happened, then he would have to pump it then finally get moving. I think it was getting flooded and had to burn the extra crap off.
