There is alot of difference between a 350 GM and a BBF. If you insist a 3 speed, the C4/C6 would be my choice, but NOW,I prefer a Glide w/my setup. My car 60' 1.25 w/loose converter and I cant imagine the violence w/launch if I had the low gear of a 3 speed.

So 100% stock meaning no extra clutches and no thrust washers changed to torrington bearings no deep pan , with stock clutches. All you have is a stock trans with valve bodie and bellhousing?

it may have extra cluthes im not 100 % on that and i just found out it has an after market hub but i can tell you i have less then $ 1200 in with the j.w bell

Sure you can, in fact you'd spend less on the C6.

I'm sure there are several tranny builders on this site that would love to take that challenge.
