Ok so a C4 it is....

Since I will not see over 600 hp over the next few years, I decided to go with a C4 for the stang....
Stats again are:
2002 mustang
466
most of the car is gone. not sure on weight yet. prob close to 3000lb
drag radials
i am looking to get into the 10.99 club or a tad faster
No nitrous (but may by end of next year
what do I need to do to one.
what year car is a good donor. I want to build it myself, as i have done it all myself so far. And i figure if i build it myself i can fix it when it needs it.
What do i need to get to get this all to work nicely

Frank, on the servo cover there is a letter, you want to try and find one with the letter "h" t is the better one, with a pan fill, make sure to change the pinion from a three gear to a six gear, get good bands, and discs, they are easy to work on, good luck.

IMO the C-4 will be fine they don't get the respect they deserve especially how small the clutches are compared to other transmissions.

just do the 5+6 clutch setup or the 6+6....Handle all the power you throw at it...

i had 5drum in my c4 and a PA v/b and no other mods.it went 5.70'si in a 2500#car without issues.i did upgrade to the good parts but never broke any of the stock stuff.

With all the new upgrades like Steel Billet Forward Drums/ New Aluminum Drums that hold more clutches...The Little Big C4 Is Back Better Than Ever....
