10.32 Deck Height Billet Block

Post  Brian Brown on January 14th 2011, 5:10 pm

LSM is working on a 10.32 deck height billet block for me at the moment. They did offer a group purchase price if four more people purchase one. I currenlty run the C&C Motorsports block, but we have our car on a serious diet at the moment. The billet block will weigh at least 30lbs lighter than the one I am currently running now, which weighs 161 pounds, but it could possibly end up almost 50lbs lighter. The guys are telling me in the 125 pound range, but possibly slightly lighter. If anyone is interested in one, please let me know asap.

Thanks,
Brian

Nice Piece, might one inquire as to the Cost? and does it have water jackets?

This one will be solid, even though I am still on gasoline. I'm pretty sure some small alterations to one's own block would not be that big of a deal. I'm paying $9k for this block with almost all the machine work already completed. If four more guys step up, we will be able to get them for $7k a piece. I think that is hard to beat, especially since CN quoted much much more.

May I ask why there is a part missing between each cylinder?

Because that's the aluminum block and the iron sleeves are not installed yet.

Ahh, that explains something else I saw at the machine shop.

Roughly 648 or so. You'll need a taller deck height to go bigger.

Does this block use the 9 cam bearings or standard setup?
