And my wife calls me a pessimist

Post  jasonf on January 29th 2011, 1:05 am

We have been looking for an acreage for what seems like forever. We need a 4 bedroom and the supply is very limited. If one of my kids would leave I could choose from a 1000 3 bedrooms. Anyways, the reason we want an acreage is to build a shop to hold all my cars. So we find this place in the paper that sounds too good to be true. I said to the wife that there has to be something wrong with it because it has been for sale awhile. We did a drive by last night in the dark and it had promise. We went and viewed it this morning and it met all our requirements. 2.7 acres, large inground pool, 40x80 metal building with a bathroom and man cave, large master bedroom, etc. It even had a massive 40kw generator that powered the house and the shop for the ultimate hurricane parties. After when I was driving to work I was thinking about all I could do in that massive shop and I realized that they didn't have a dining room table. There was not even room for a dining room table that I could remember. So I called the wife and she said the same thing. Who the F builds a house with no room for a table to eat at?

And she calls me a pessimist.

Lol, maybe the 4th bedroom used to be a dining room???

We looked at a place right around the corner from where we are now. Smallish war time house, two car garage and a huge shop and a HOIST. I was in love with buying it till we went into the house. All the rooms looked like about 8'x8'. Very tiny. They had about 6 kids in there too!!

BTW, you do sound fairly pessimistic......jk Very Happy
