New London Va Drag Strip ?

Yes they had a little airport.
I cleared snow from it for awhile.

That must be it. I was in Thaxton last weekend and was challenged by a stranger in a resturaunt who had noticed my shirt. (Moutain Motor Pro Stock). He asked me if I drag raced and before asking me what my car ran, asked me to a grudge match later in the spring for 5 g's. When I sugested VMP (less than 2 hours from that area) he scoffed and said he would race at the New London track.

Never heard of it.

I moved down here in 89 they didn't have one then.
